BioVector? H80X is a mouse hybridoma cell line dedicated to the production of monoclonal antibodies. It was generated by fusing splenocytes from mice immunized with the alpha subunit of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG alpha) with a mouse myeloma partner. The monoclonal antibody secreted by H80X specifically recognizes the alpha subunit of hCG. Since hCG, LH, FSH, and TSH all share a common alpha subunit, antibodies from this line are frequently used to study the shared structural motifs of these glycoprotein hormones or serve as part of a capture or detection pair in sandwich ELISA assays.
