BioVector? PEO1 is a human cell line derived from Serous Ovarian Adenocarcinoma. It was established from the ascitic fluid of a patient collected during a phase of clinical sensitivity to cisplatin-based chemotherapy. The most critical biological hallmark of PEO1 is the presence of a BRCA2 mutation (5193delA), resulting in the loss of functional BRCA2 protein. Consequently, PEO1 cells exhibit profound sensitivity to DNA-damaging agents (such as platinum compounds) and PARP inhibitors.
