BioVector? SF8628 (H3.3-K27M) is a tumor cell line derived from a pediatric patient with Diffuse Midline Glioma (DMG, formerly known as DIPG). The core characteristic of this cell line is the hallmark K27M mutation in the H3F3A gene. This mutation results in the substitution of lysine 27 with methionine in histone H3.3, which inhibits the activity of the Polycomb Repressive Complex 2 (PRC2) and causes a global reduction in H3K27me3 (trimethylation) levels.
