BioVector? mHypoE-38 is an immortalized neuronal cell line derived from embryonic mouse hypothalamic tissue (E15, E17, or E18). This line was established using retroviral-mediated transfer of the SV40 large T-antigen. Part of the "Embryonic Hypothalamic Cell Line" series, BioVector? mHypoE-38 retains many physiological characteristics of hypothalamic neurons. It expresses specific neuropeptides and receptors in vitro, serving as an ideal cellular model for studying the central nervous system's role in energy metabolism, endocrine regulation, and neurosecretory signaling pathways.
