The NTCC? VAL cell line is a model for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, NOS (DLBCLNOS). It is a human B cell lymphoma cell line that originated from the bone marrow of a 50-year-old woman with B-acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) in 1985. The VAL cell line has the following characteristics:

Oncogenic alterations: FOXO1: S22P, BCL2: A131V, CCND3: I290K, EZH2: Y646N
Morphology: Round to polymorph small cells, growing singly or in clumps in suspension
Incubation medium: 90% RPMI 1640 + 10% h.i. FBS
Biosafety level: 2, as the cell line is positive for EBV (HHV-4) and there is a possible production of active viruses
The VAL cell line has been sequenced and profiled in a variety of datasets, including CN, drug screen, expression, mutations, and structural variants.
